Full service leasing and Lean Six Sigma?
One of our primary full service leasing business tools is Lean Six Sigma, an internationally recognised quality system. Lean Six Sigma is a disciplined method for improving an organisation's processes, and works by using the following 5 phases.
DEFINE: Involves defining the scope and goals of the improvement project in terms of customer requirements and the process that delivers those requirements.
MEASURE: Involves measuring the current process performance (and its inputs and outputs) and calculating the capability.
ANALYSE: Involves identifying the gap between the current and desired performance, prioritising problems and identifying root causes of problems. Comparing these process outputs, products or services against recognised benchmark standards of performance may also be carried out.
IMPROVE: Involves generating the improvement solutions and fixing problems to prevent them from recurring so that the required financial and other performance goals are met.
CONTROL: Involves implementing the improved process in a way that 'holds the gains'. Standards of operations will be documented and measures of performance will be established. After a 'running in' period the process capability is calculated again to establish whether the performance gains are being sustained. The cycle is repeated if necessary.
