World Environment Day

World Environment Day LogoWorld Environment Day is celebrated every year on 5 June in more than 100 countries around the world. The purpose of the day is to focus worldwide attention on the importance of the environment and stimulate political attention and action.

This year, the World Environment Day slogan is Kick the Habit! Towards a Low Carbon Economy, and aims to highlight resources and initiatives that promote low carbon economies and life-styles, such as improved energy efficiency, alternative energy sources, forest conservation and eco-friendly consumption.

Cut out a Kilo of CO2 (in one day)

Cut Kilos of CO2 At Masterlease, we are encouraging everyone to ‘Cut out a Kilo of CO2’ - it’s incredibly easy to do within the day of World Environment Day (or even within 1 hour). This may sound small – but it’s achievable by everyone anywhere! For example, if every single person in all 17 Masterlease countries – totalling at roughly 556 million -  cut out a kilo the total saved CO2 would be around
556 000 tonnes!
